Mrs. Bennett

Hello!  My name is Megan Bennett and I am one of the art teachers at McMath Middle School.  I have been teaching for 19 years all in Denton ISD.  I can remember being passionate about art since I was a child when I used to draw cartoons with my grandfather.  He was once on his way to be an illustrator for Disney when WWII took him in another direction and he instead became a doctor.  

I received my degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene.  While there, I played golf on the collegiate golf team for 4 years with two trips to the Division III National Championships my freshman and junior years.

Some of my interests include golf with my family, creating hand drawn greeting cards, playing with my 3 boxer dogs, and going on road trips throughout the United States.  I have visited the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, San Diego Zoo, the USS Arizona Memorial in Hawaii, Notre Dame University, and whale watching in Maine.  Though these are not all of the numerous locations my family and I have visited, these are some of the highlights. 

I look forward to another wonderful year in art at McMath and creating awesome memorable art!
