Art 1: (full year course) Students will work with a variety of media and techniques: pastel, paint, sculpture, collage, and drawing. Art production is closely linked with art history and studies of art from other cultures. Students complete the school year with a varied portfolio of many art projects and incredible new production skills. Also, students will complete a sketchbook with over 40 sketches. Students should expect some manageable academic work to accompany each project. Understanding and appreciation of self and others through art culture and heritage will be emphasized.
