Augmentation is the second level of the SAMR model. Like Substitution, it involves using technology to replace a traditional tool—but with functional improvement.
The core task is the same.
Technology provides added features that make the task more efficient, engaging, or effective.
It's still enhancement, not transformation.
Same learning goal, but better executed with technology.
Enhances efficiency, accessibility, or usability.
The tools listed below can be utilized for augmentation, but the tool does not define the level of SAMR, it is determined by how the tool is being used for learning.
