Kami

https://www.kamiapp.com/

Kami is an online annotation tool. Using the free version of this tool, you can have students add their thoughts to files or assignments you share with them. Teachers can also use Kami's features to provide personalized feedback, assess student progress, and facilitate learning.

Create your free teacher account at Kami.app. We recommend connecting using your Google account.

Next, download the free Kami Google Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. Once the extension is added to your CISD Google account, it will be available on any device you use to access your account.

After guiding students to install the extension on their CISD Google account, share the invite link to connect them to your Kami account. Then share any documents you want them to annotate.

Kami includes a Read Aloud option that students can use to hear text. Students can choose to adjust voice and speed.

Students have 4 types of comment tools: text, voice, video, and screen capture (with or without webcam). These recordings are stored inside of Kami, so they do not need additional permissions to access them.

The Add Media button allows you to access and upload media from a variety of locations including Google Drive, Google search, YouTube, or your computer. You can also access a variety of built-in options such as graphic organizers or digital stickers.
