Screencastify Submit

Screencastify Submit is a specific feature designed to flip the camera around, allowing students to easily record and send videos back to you without needing to install anything or navigate a complex dashboard.

Here is how you can use it effectively:

• Verbal Exit Tickets: Instead of a written slip, create a Submit link where students record a 30-second summary of what they learned today. It’s a great way to catch misconceptions that might not come across in writing.

• Reading Fluency Checks: Have students record themselves reading a passage aloud. You can listen to these recordings later to track their pacing, expression, and pronunciation without having to pull them aside individually during class time.

• "Show Your Work" in Math: Ask students to record their screens while using a digital whiteboard to solve a problem. Hearing their thought process helps you understand how they arrived at an answer, not just if the answer is correct.

• Foreign Language Practice: Create an assignment for students to record themselves speaking in their target language. This lowers the "performance anxiety" of speaking in front of the whole class while providing you with clear audio for assessment.
