There are two pathways you can choose to create a Symphony whiteboard:
Create from the top menu, then selecting Symphony whiteboard.
Symphony whiteboard from the top menu, then select the Create Symphony whiteboard icon to create. Symphony also supports importing other whiteboard files.
You'll be asked to name your file and then you'll be taken to the main interface. There is no save button, everything will autosave for you.

Information
ⓘ add or edit Symphony file information.
Fullscreen: can be accessed via the icon in the top-right corner and exited with the escape key.
Navigation
Plus: creates a new blank page, while the trashcan icon deletes all pages; for individual deletion, select the page and click the trash can icon.
Arrows: navigate between pages, and the page switcher allows reordering by dragging.
Pan and Zoom
Map: helps locate specific areas on the infinite canvas.
Settings:
Infinite canvas: This option provides you with an unlimited whiteboard surface. When infinite canvas is disabled, you will have a static page.
Lock panning around the page: This will lock the page to the whiteboard surface.
Allow students to navigate pages: Choosing this option will prevent students from switching between pages when the Symphony whiteboard has been shared for collaboration.
Center page: Will reposition the layout of your Symphony whiteboard so that the infinite canvas space is centered within the viewing window.
Pin the dock: This allows you to choose the location of the toolbar. By default, the toolbar is pinned to the center.
Features: Choose which tools are visible in the toolbar and menu by enabling “Advanced” (all tools), “Basic” (limited tools), or “Custom” (select specific tools).
Activity Log: Shows activity on the Symphony whiteboard, including students who have joined for collaboration.
Help: takes you to the Symphony user manual.
Main Toolbar:
Pen Tools: Includes pen, brush, highlighter, shape recognizer, and laser pointer with adjustable thickness and 14 color options.
Eraser: Choose between swipe erasing, color-specific erasing, or clearing the entire page with confirmation.
Move Tool: Use the cross-arrow icon to reposition items on the page.
Insert Webpage: Embed websites, PhET simulations, and YouTube videos. Some sites may not allow embedding.
Add Media: Import digital files (PDFs, images, etc.) from OneDrive, Google Drive, or online searches. Media can be resized, duplicated, flipped, locked, or deleted.
Chorus Lesson Activities and Polls: Add interactive lesson activities and polls directly to the whiteboard.
More Tools Toolbar
Background Options: Choose background colors, images, or grids, and adjust opacity.
Notepad: Create scrollable, resizable notepads with customizable fonts and colors, and add emojis.
Text: Add text boxes with selected fonts, sizes, and colors.
Stamps: Use digital stamps from various categories, adjusting size as needed.
Shapes: Add 2D and 3D shapes with adjustable colors and outlines.
Recording: Embed recorded audio using the record option.
Math Tools: Rulers, compasses, protractors, and graphing tools to assist with mathematical tasks.
Camera: Display a document or web camera for live visuals.
Hide/Reveal Tool: Concea/reveal portions of the whiteboard as needed.
