To get started:
Click My Lesson Activities from the top navigation strip and select Polls.
From here you can create a new poll, or find any previously created polls.
Click Create new poll to get started.
Fill in the start up information:
Give your poll a name.
Check to show questions on connected devices and show names when downloading results.
Poll Background: If desired, add an image from your device or use the embedded online search. (You can also add backgrounds to each question.)
Change the font if desired.
Add a Question:
Type your question in the text box at the top. If you leave this blank, you can give verbal directions but the question will not appear on connected devices.
Select the Type of question from the drop down menu (If you select Multiple choice or Yes/No, a new field will appear to add answers. Click the circle on the left of an answer if you'd like to designate it as "correct.")
Optional item: Set a time limit from the drop down menu. (not recommended)
Optional item: Choose background (for the question)
To play your poll, click Done and Start.
Play synchronously with your learners:
Locate the desired poll in the Polls page from the My Lesson Activities tab.
Then click the play button below the thumbnail of your desired poll.
Have students or participants join using the QR Code or URL shown on the screen.
Presenter Options:
At any time, the presenter can click the three-line menu and select hide the questions menu for a full screen view. Your three-line menu and Next button will appear as transparent buttons in the bottom left.
The teacher/presenter controls when participants are able to answer. Click Next, Begin, and Results buttons to progress the poll at the speed desired.
At any point the presenter can edit, delete or add a question to the poll while playing.
Be sure to select the three-line menu and download a CSV file of responses if desired. Once the poll is played again, previous responses will be deleted.
