Chorus Lesson Activities

Anytime you play an activity, no matter if it was accessed from the Community, a link you received from a colleague or even an activity created and shared with you by a student, a copy is made for you and you can customize it.

Editing and Creating

Editing a Lesson Activity can be done in several ways. Although each game type has its own unique features, all activities share the same three main sections in the editing interface.

During Play Mode:

While the activity is in Play mode, open the three line menu in the top left corner and select Edit.

From Existing Activities:

Select My lesson activities from the navigation menu.
Locate your activity and click the gear icon to edit.

Blank Lesson Activity Template:

Select Create from the top navigation menu.
Choose Lesson Activity.
Select your activity type.

Editing Interface

While each game type has some differences, all activities have the same three main parts to the editing interface. Access instructions specific to each template here.

Manage Content:

This is the content that you want your learners to practice.

Select any text box to adjust the wording. Use the minus icon to remove content, and select the orange box to add background images or sounds. To reorder content, press and hold the selector icon, then drag it into place. If available, use the Customize Content option to define correct answers or adjust game specific settings.

Preview:

Use the live preview screen to review and test your changes. You can also adjust fonts, backgrounds, and gameplay settings.

Lesson Activity Info:

This tab is used to update the description, add resources such as videos, PDFs, and links, choose how content is delivered, and adjust screenshots, standards, keywords, and filters.

Converting an Activity:

You can take the lesson activity and change the activity from one game type to another. Once in the editing interface, select the three-line menu in the top left and choose Change lesson activity type.

Consider duplicating your Lesson Activity before you convert so you'll have two different games to practice the same content.

To duplicate, go to the Lesson Activities page under My Lesson Activities.
Before you click the gear, select the 3 dot menu and Duplicate.
Now you'll have your original game and one to edit/convert.

Please note that some activities are highly compatible and can convert with a minimum of changes necessary, while other conversions may require significant editing.

Sharing to the Community

Lesson Activities, Lists, and Symphony Whiteboards can be shared to the Community. Each item generates a URL link for easy access, and shared content can be added to your groups.

Steps to Share:

From any lesson activity, list, or symphony whiteboard under the My lesson activities tab, click the three dot menu and select Save to Chorus community
Select your privacy setting
- Private will only be able to be played from your account- great for activities that may contain students pictures or information.
- Unlisted allows sharing through groups or links, but will not show up in Community searches.
- The default choice allows sharing to the Chorus community for anyone with an account to search and play.

Find your shared content by selecting Shared lesson activities or Shared Symphony whiteboards from the My lesson activities tab.
