On the 5th of February 2024 we will be going to Bath Spa Uni, specifically the Newton St Loe campus. Bath Spa specialises in degrees across the arts, sciences, education, social science and business. It also has lots of accommodation and 214 courses available, including Film, Television and Digital Production which I am interested in. Along with this course the University also has advanced TV studios and technology which "exceed industry standard". After doing some research I have found that Bath Spa's Film, Television and Digital Production course is very good and has offered many students success in the past.
On my visit to the University, I plan to take some photos and videos of courses and areas which catch my interest. For example plants, buildings, signs, communal areas, and more. This will be put together to make a promotional video as Work Experience for Bath Spa.

At Bath Spa Uni we got all the information given to us about their media courses by some lecturers. I got a good insight to the courses and I also got to speak to some student ambassadors who answered our questions about general uni life. We got to visit a studio which had really cool and advanced equipment, and we also had an outside tour of the campus. During our tour I managed to film various clips of the landscape, buildings and other things I thought looked nice or should be in my video.

After the visit to the Uni, I began editing my video in PremierePro. I put all the clips together and trimmed them accordingly and I also did basic adjustments to make sure all the clips had the same brightness, exposure and vibrancy etc. I then added transitions to the beginning and end to give the film a proper start and finish. On the first clip I added a title with transitions and also an image of the Uni's logo that I downloaded from google images here . I also adjusted the scaling and rotation of the clips to fit how I wanted and then added an uplifting but chill song to the background, which I downloaded copyright free from here.

EVALUATION
I am pleased with the result of my video as it followed my intentions and I think it turned out well. I also didn't find it too hard and the filming and editing process went very smoothly. One challenge I did encounter was when filming it was difficult not to get people in shot who were unaware I was filming. This was quite frustrating however I didn't give up and I waited to get the shot that I wanted. I really like some of the shots I got because I used a range of different angles and camera movement, and I also think the things I chose to video were good choices as it is very scenic. If I was to do this again I would try and get some even more varied and detailed shots, however this wasn't easy to achieve as we were constantly walking and following a student ambassador who was showing us around. Overall, I am happy with my video and I enjoyed making it and it was fairly easy.
