Unit 11

In Unit 11, we will be making a short piece of media of our choice based on our interests. I am planning on creating a sequence which demonstrates my camera skills using the theme of dogs. I have chosen to do this because I think camera work is my biggest strength and a dog theme will be accessible to make since I own a dog. In Unit 1, I made a promo video about my dog going for a walk so this is a similar task but I aim to capture a different aspect of dogs other than walks. Rather than this video follow a plot, I want the purpose of it to be a showcase of my skills, so I don't think I need to pick a specific aspect of dogs to focus on. I am thinking of doing something more unique that I've never done before, for example a different style like found footage which I could achieve using rough and hand held camera movement along with filters and editing. On the other hand, I might take a much more professional approach and use equipment like a tripod for a more sleek and polished camera style. I am leaning more towards a professional style as I haven't used a tripod yet and I would like to push myself to try new things and be able to produce various types of work. I already own a small tripod but I would prefer to use a taller one which I could borrow from College.
