I began shooting for my film at the chosen location, however I discovered a different spot which I think worked better for what I was trying to capture. It was more closed off from the main footpath and had a makeshift bench whilst overlooking the whole city. I thought this location was even better as I needed somewhere with seating and a view for some of the shots. I recorded footage for my film over the course of 2 days and we spent about an hour to 2 hours each day filming.
Here are some pictures taken on set which serve as proof that I directed and filmed which the actors.
Actor "Maya White" took on the role of "the figure", and here is the costume we used to portray this character. My aim was to create a character which was unclear who or what it was. It is a representation of the protagonist's dark thoughts and experiences which are currently happening in her home. I used a long flowy dress I already owned as I thought that could portray a creepy vibe as it has relations to famous horror entities such as vampires, witches, nuns and ghosts, and also because it is black, acting as a silhouette. On top of the dress to cover the actor's identity, she wore a black windbreaker coat zipped up and with the hood up. During filming we made sure no skin could be seen in order to maintain the lack of humanity this character has and to not break character. This character was originally going to wear black trousers and a black hoodie, but I the long skirt could be percieved as more spooky anyway.Â
Actor "Paloma Brunskill" played the main character, "Sarah". Originally, this character was planned to wear grey joggers and a hoodie, however due to the unexpected rise in temperature it was too hot to wear long thick sleeves and long thick bottoms. Because of this Paloma wore grey shorts and a black t-shirt instead. I think the Ugg boots were a good choice of footwear for this character as it makes the outfit look more casual and comfy as if she had just got out of bed, which is accurate, however they were still practical enough to be able to film all scenes safely. Her hair was also originally supposed to be in a messy bun, but I did let the actors customise their character to adapt it to themselves, and she chose to wear bunches. Despite not sticking to the original costume, it didn't make a difference because it is still the original style I wanted - comfy and casual clothing.
I screen recording 15 minutes of me editing in Premiere Pro using Microsoft Stream, and then sped it up x16 to make it a watchable length. This timelapse is just to demonstrate the way I was editing and how I did stuff, although obviously I couldn't capture it all as this was only 15 minutes of editing.
I looked on Google for copyright free horror instrumentals.

To the left is my final edit of my film. I am happy with it overall, and the whole project evaluation can be found under the "Evaluation/Reflection" page.
