Pride Month at BDC 

Proud to be. 

Pride Month at BDC is a vibrant celebration of diversity, inclusion, and the LGBTQ+ community. Throughout the month, students and staff will come together for a range of events including panel discussions, creative workshops, film screenings, and awareness campaigns that highlight the history, challenges, and achievements of LGBTQ+ individuals. The goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all identities are respected and celebrated. Pride Month is not only about visibility and celebration, but also about education and allyship—fostering a campus culture where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.

Week one (2nd-6th June) : History, advocates and ally's.

Thursday 5th June (12pm-2pm)- Students create a board of advocates that have inspired them.

Week Two (9th-13th June): Charity/Cakes sales

Thursday 12th  (12-2pm)- Charity pop-up

Locations: Jubilee Street 

Week Three (16th-20th June): Pride Parade 

Tuesday 17th June (11am-2pm)- Pride Parade  (Live music/Performers/Make-up & Hair/ Photo booth etc.)

Students & Staff encouraged to wear bright colours.

23rd-27th June (Week Four):  Mental Health Awareness 

Wednesday 25th June 10am-12pm- Mental Health Panel Talk  LGBTQ+
