Conducting a case study on the well-being of Jollibee employees using a SWOT analysis has been a meaningful experience. Throughout this process, we gained insights not only about the working environment of a fast-paced food chain but also about the struggles and dedication of its employees.
While gathering information through interviews and surveys, we observed several challenges faced by Jollibee employees. One of the most striking things we noticed was that they are not allowed to sit while on duty. Even during slow periods, they have to remain standing until their designated break time. Despite these conditions, they continue to work diligently, serving customers with a smile. This dedication to their job left a strong impression on us, as it showed their commitment to providing excellent service, even under difficult circumstances.
This observation made us realize how demanding it is to work in a busy fast-food chain. It is easy to overlook the effort that goes into ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Seeing their situation firsthand taught us the importance of understanding and appreciating the hard work of others. It also made us reflect on how these working conditions could impact their overall well-being.
From this experience, we learned valuable lessons. One is the importance of creating a supportive work environment that prioritizes employee health and comfort. Simple measures, like providing opportunities to rest or sit during long shifts, could make a significant difference in their daily work life. Another is the value of empathy. By putting ourselves in their shoes, we gained a deeper appreciation for their resilience and dedication.
This case study was not just about analyzing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. It was also a lesson in humanity—understanding the challenges faced by employees and recognizing the need for workplace improvements to support their well-being.
