Technology Academy

Full day 9:00 AM - 3:45 PM

Age range: 7-13 year old

Fun, exciting, and challenging activities designed to enrich and improve your child's knowledge in today's world of technology. Participants will gain hands-on exposure to various computer activities and other relevant technologies that will entertain them for long hours. Game programming, web development, robotics are just a few of these components to be taught. A selection of fun enrichment activities is also offered to give each child a chance to develop their creativity and social skills.

The Technology Academy consists of a daily set schedule of technology/computing and a selection of fun enrichment activities.

Schedule:

• 09:00 - 10:00 Swimming (A full range of aquatic's activities and learn

how to swim academy)

• 10:00 - 11:00 Robotics
  • An introduction to the Robotics NXT official K-12 inventor curriculum where a hands-on project will be conducted with participants to build a fully functional robot and learn how to command it.)
• 11:00-11:20 Break (Indoor or outdoor)
• 11:20-12:20 Enrichment
  • (A mix of classes to enjoy such as Language, art, dance, healthy cooking, drama, dance, science, etiquette and many other offerings.)
• 12:20-1:20 Build your own mobile app
  • Participants will build their first mobile Android/IOS app and download them to their mobile and enjoy using it.)
• 1:20-2:00 Lunch (Indoor lunchroom)
• 2:00-3:00 VR and Game Programming
  • Virtual Reality is a new trend of technology feature that allows your kid to build a virtual reality environment, a VR headset will be supplied to all students. Participants need to bring their mobile phone.
  • An enriched curriculum of how to build a real game and using step by step guide to come up with a game that your kid can play with his/her friends.)
  • 3:00-3:45 Sports (A mix of sports and team games)

Please note that the above schedule and/or time can be altered or changed/modified according to the summer camp vision and number of students without any prior notification The summer camp will try the best to make the schedule an optimum choice for all participants.

Note:

Campers should bring: a morning snack (packed separately from the camper’s lunch), a full lunch with several beverages and a backpack (you may wish to consider labeling all personal belongings).
