Students will further develop their opinion writing and have many opportunities to practice this form of writing. Listed are some components we will review:
Students will be going through the writing process: prewrite, draft, revise, edit, and final copy of an opinion essay.
Students will choose one of the people or characters. They will state and support an opinion about which people or characters had the greatest effects on the events in the selection: Back of the Bus, Rosa Parks: A Hero of Our Time; Little Black-Eyed Rebel; or Below Deck: A Titanic Story. I have attached the grading rubric used for this assessment.
