Students will be creating opinion writing and have many opportunities to practice this form of writing. Listed are some components we will review:
Students will be going through the writing process: prewrite, draft, revise, edit, and final copy of an opinion essay.
Students will be using knowledge from lesson 1-18 to complete state and support their opinion on which text, Storm in the Night or Knots of a Counting Rope, has a more powerful central message. I have attached the grading rubric used for this assessment.
