Problem Statement: The organization had fragmented data across multiple business systems and functions, creating inconsistent data, limited visibility, security and governance challenges, and inefficient processes for accessing trusted information needed for analytics, operational decisions, and emerging AI initiatives.
Review: Led a multi-million-dollar, multi-year enterprise Data Fabric transformation designed to modernize how the organization ingests, governs, secures, and delivers data for business decision-making, analytics, and AI initiatives. The program involved cross-functional teams across Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, HR, and Legal, along with internal IT resources and onshore/offshore vendors.
The initiative established Databricks as the enterprise data platform and integrated data from diverse sources, including SAP, Optiva, Circana, Kroger, Workday, Helios, Sovos, and other business systems. I managed the program across the full delivery lifecycle, including architecture/design, development, DevOps, SIT, UAT, deployment, and production support.
I leveraged enterprise delivery and DevOps tools including Azure DevOps (ADO), Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, GitHub, Microsoft Teams, and Power BI to manage requirements, backlogs, sprint planning, source control, CI/CD activities, project schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, documentation, and executive reporting.
I provided leadership in Agile transformation, DevOps governance, release management, organizational change management, technical training, and data security, coordinating complex dependencies across multiple teams and business functions. The program established foundational standards for data lake security, governance, and delivery, creating a scalable framework for future data, analytics, and AI initiatives.
The Data Fabric became a strategic foundation for AI Agents, IBP 2.0, enterprise analytics, and continued digital transformation, enabling the organization to move toward more integrated, governed, secure, and actionable enterprise data.
