Purpose
All students grades 6-12 take benchmark tests in ELA and Math three times a year = August, December & March
The purpose of benchmark testing is to see your student’s progress towards grade-level standards in ELA and Math. If your student is considered "Proficient", it means that your student has demonstrated understanding of grade-level standards, and they have attained mastery in order to proceed to the next grade-level. Benchmark testing is a predictor for how a student will perform on Arizona's standardized tests (AZM2), which are completed each spring, and evaluate a student's abilities in writing, reading, and math.
Exact Path
Exact Path identifies gaps in learning and targets them at the student's individual level to support and remediate any missing or deficit skills.
Students take a diagnostic test in Language Arts, Reading & Math to place them on their individual learning paths in each of these areas. Next, you can examine your students National Percentile Ranking and specific grade-level placement
