"NAMI Ending the Silence is a free presentation designed to give audience members an opportunity to learn about mental illness through an informative PowerPoint and short videos. The presentation outlines symptoms of mental health conditions and gives attendees ideas about how to help themselves, friends, or family members who may need support. The presentation includes personal testimony from a young adult living with a mental health condition and his/her journey to recovery."

The beginning of this school year comes with more than the usual challenges and stressors for our students and educators and there will need to be an even more vigilant effort paid to youth mental wellness. Throughout the year, schools are encouraged to use the resources in the Back to School: Mental Health Thrival Kit to engage students, staff and the larger school community.
