As a competitive Salsa Dancer, with hard work and dedication, I was able to win a few trophies.

I'm the first person in my immediate family to have a Bachelor and Master's Degree. I hope to inspire my beautiful niece Audrey to pursue a college education.

My favorite person on earth is my loving husband Mr. Colantoni. He is my best friend.

My name is Karina Colantoni. I'm first generation Latinx born in Los Angeles and raised world wide.

The story of immigration is embedded in my upbringing as the daughter of immigrant parents. I've lived in various countries with Spanish as my first language. Once we permanently moved to the U.S. I had to learn English. I was an English Language Learner for my entire educational journey (including college). It wasn't until I entered graduate school that I began to use higher levels of writing and speaking in English. I'm certainly a lifelong learner.
