Lost & Found

Be sure to check the Lost & Found in Student Services and the Gym for items lost throughout this year. All items will be donated or discarded at the end of the school year.

Hello Soon-To-Be-Senior Students & Families!

I know Junior year is still not over, but it's already time to start planning for your Senior Portraits! Studios get booked up quickly, so please read this important information about getting your portraits taken and submitted to the yearbook.

Option 1: Using a preferred photographer

You can book your senior portrait with one of our preferred photographers! Using these photographers will simplify the process for you, as they will submit your photos to the yearbook directly. The photographers that RHS works with are:

More information about all of these photographers is attached to this email.

Option 2: Using another photographer

You are also welcome to use another photographer or take your own photo to submit. If you decide to go this route, please note that you will need to submit your photo yourself. The last day to submit is December 1. Mark your calendar! Make sure your photo meets the following requirements:

  • The photo must be digital. We do not take physical copies of pictures

  • Must be saved in one of the following formats: jpg, tif. Provide us with the highest resolution image you can.

  • Must be saved in CMYK, RGB, or Grayscale color mode

  • Must be a vertical photo, not horizontal

  • Please change the name of the file to the student's full name: last name first.

  • Send your portrait to this email address: rhsyearbook@fsusd.org by the deadline.

  • We will not crop or edit your photo. Please send us the portrait as you would like it to appear.

  • Senior portraits should follow the school dress code and the RHS Way!

Option 3: Picture Day

If you are not planning on taking portraits (or you will not be able to get them taken by the yearbook's December 1st deadline) we will be running the photo your student takes on picture day. Though picture day photos do not offer the same level of choice and freedom as a studio session, they are professionally shot and high-quality. Look for information from the school on picture day dates.

Don't delete this message! If you have questions, you can email me. Once we break for the summer, I will check my email, but not as often as I do during the school year.

Thank you and have a great summer!

Dear Students (RHS & ECHS):

We are approaching the end of the school year, and all checked out materials need to be returned by the last day of school and/or fines need to be satisfied.

I am including step-by-step instructions on Powerpoint & video, in English & Spanish to walk you through checking your library account so you can know what is owed. These instructions are also on the RHS Library website. You will also find the link to DESTINY to actually check your fine.

SENIORS MUST SATISFY ALL FINES BEFORE GRADUATION!

*If you have a book fine, you can return the book to the RHS Library & the fine will be zeroed out.

Summer Reading @ Solano County Libraries

Dear RHS & ECHS!

I am emailing you today to tell you about the 2022 Summer Reading Challenge that the library is hosting for teens!

Here is how it works:

  1. Go to any Solano County Library starting June 1st to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge and get your reading passport and free totebag.

  2. Set your reading goal for the summer. (It can be one challenge in the passport, two challenges or even all of them. It is up to you. Just set a goal for what you think you will read by July 31st.)

  3. Complete your reading goal and come back to the Solano County Library you signed up at by July 31st. Tell the librarian you met your reading goal.

  4. Choose any book you want from Amazon that costs less than or around $10 and ask the librarian to order it for you! (Be sure to have the title, author and ISBN of the book so we can look it up on Amazon.)

  5. Wait for the librarian to contact you and say your free book is ready for pick up.

  6. Pick up your free book!

Those who sign up for the 2022 Summer Reading Challenge will also be entered into drawings for various prizes like Ferry passes, Exploratorium tickets, sporting event tickets and more!

Also... be sure to check out all the free events happening at the Solano County Libraries this summer for children and teens and adults!

Check out the link below for the full list of free events happening at the libraries in Solano County Libraries.

Dear RHS & ECHS,

This is Elizabeth Bell, the teen services librarian from the Fairfield Civic Center Library.

The 2022 Solano County Library summer reading challenge starts June 1st.

In addition to the reading challenge itself, each of the library branches is putting on free programs for children, teens and adults.

I am extremely happy to tell you that the Fairfield Civic Center Library will be putting on a Stranger Things Escape Room for Teens on June 25th as part of the summer reading program!

This escape room will be based on the first 2 seasons of the show Stranger Things and is completely free!

It will happen at three different times on Saturday, June 25th at the Fairfield Civic Center Library at 1150 Kentucky Street in Fairfield.

Those times are...

10:30am

12:15pm

2:00pm

Pre-registration is required for attending this event.

Starting June 1st at midnight, teens can sign up for the escape room at the links below.
