"Let us treat the children, therefore, with all the kindness which we would wish to help to develop in them." Dr. Maria Montessori
All children and staff who meet any of the criteria below should stay home or will be sent home. We understand this may be inconvenient, but it is necessary to minimize exposure to the spread of COVID-19 and other illnesses. Staying home when sick or keeping your child home is a responsibility we take very seriously. Please DO NOT send your children to school if they are showing any signs of illness. This is more important now than ever before.

Parent Responsibilities and when your child can return to school:
All parents are encouraged to be on the alert for signs of illness in their children and are required to keep them at home when they are sick.
Any child with a temperature of 100.4 or above will not be permitted to attend school and will be sent home. Your child can return to school once he/she has been fever-free without the use of any fever reducing medication for 24 hours.
Any child who has been vomiting or had diarrhea should stay home for 24 hours after the stomach distress has stopped.
COVID Symptoms at School
If COVID symptoms begin while at school, your child will be brought to the Health Care Center. HCC staff will contact you for permission to administer a COVID test.
If your child tests positive, all CDC recommended quarantine guidelines will be implemented.
If your child tests negative for COVID but is showing sympotoms of illness, you will be called to come pick up your child.
Make sure that the school has your current contact and emergency contact information.
If you have ANY questions or concerns, please contact Gail for more information.
