Lesson 4 - Using the Claw

Launch the Vexcode IQ app

Use File Open or Open Recent, to open your previous project. 

Then use File Save As, and give the program a new name: lesson4.iqblocks

This will create a copy of your previous program with a new name, you can now edit this program, and your previous program will also be saved to use later.

TURN ON THE READ&WRITE EXTENSION IF YOU NEED TO HAVE THE INSTRUCTIONS READ TO YOU!

CLOSING THE CLAW

Before you run a program using the claw, make sure the claw is in the fully open position! 

To close the claw to be able to grab one of the target cubes, you need to spin it about 30 degrees. see the example block. Note you may need to increase or decrease the amount a little, but do it in small increments 5 to 10 degree changes.  

If you need to close the claw farther, to pick something else up, you can increase the amount of degrees.

OPEN THE CLAW

To release the cube, spin the claw in reverse, and use the same amount of degrees that in reverse that you used to close the claw.

Make sure the file is saved in the shared google drive folder.
