The countdown is on for the 2025-2026 school year! We will continue sharing information over the next 10 days as we prepare for the start of school.

As shared by Frisco ISD starting on Monday July 28th, there are some new Texas Laws impacting FISD and public schools across Texas.

📵 New Rule: No Personal Devices at School

Starting Aug. 13, 2025,  and in line with Texas House Bill 1481, Frisco ISD students can’t use personal devices — cellphones, smartwatches, tablets, personal laptops, earbuds and more — during the school day, even at lunch or between classes.

What to know: Students should leave devices at home when possible. If they bring them, devices must stay off and in backpacks from bell to bell. Devices seen, heard or used will be confiscated. All secondary students have a Chromebook to use for schoolwork.

Staying in touch: Students won’t be able to text or call you, so call the school office if you need to reach them. Staff will deliver urgent messages, and students can check email on their Chromebook. Please keep your contact info updated and try to plan appointments or pickups in advance.

In preparation for the upcoming year, students will be able to view student schedules starting on Monday - August 4th.  Please be mindful, all schedules may not be completed at that time as counselors continue to update and finalize student schedules up until Wednesday - August 13th.

Students will need to print out a copy of their schedule at home for the 1st day prior to arrival on campus, have a written copy or access to their district-issued chromebook to have a quick reference for their class schedule and location. Our administrators and counselors will also be available in the Rotunda to provided assistance to students.

• The 2025-2026 school year begins on Wednesday - August 13th and we will conclude learning experiences with students on Friday - May 22nd

• The RHS Parent Informational Meeting will be Monday August 18th from 6:00-7:00 PM

• RHS "Meet the Teacher" Night will be 6:00-7:30 PM 

• RHS Homecoming Game - Thursday - September 25th vs Lebanon Trail at Kuykendall Stadium

• RHS Homecoming Dance - Saturday - September 27th at RHS    7:00-10:00 PM

Important Reminders/Dates

• "The Prowl- RHS Freshman Orientation"- for incoming 9th graders will be Tuesday, August 12th from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM

• "Lion Walk" for all Reedy High School 9th-12th grade students to walk their class schedule will be Tuesday, August 12th from 12:00-1:00 PM

• Annual Online Registration for RHS families for 2025-2026 - PLEASE READ!

• Student Parking Permits- All students who will be driving a vehicle on campus are required to have a 2025-2026 Reedy parking sticker. Permits can be picked up August 19th and 20th during all lunches. After those dates, permits can be picked up in the AP office with Ms. Smith or Ms. Foote.
