Hi Everyone! My name is Xavier Garcia, and it is my privilege to serve as your music teacher for the 25-26 school year. I hold a Music Education degree from the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!) and was a member of 3 choirs during my time there: A Cappella, Concert Choir, and UpFront. This past summer, I studied at SMU to get my Kodaly Level 1 certification! Music and singing have always been such an integral part of my life, and I am honored to get to share that love with all the students. This will be my 2nd year at Smith, and I am so glad I get to spend it here with the #SMITHSTRONG family!

Welcome to a new school year! This is my seventh year at Smith Elementary, and I am excited to continue helping our students learn, grow, and stay active.
Before joining Smith, I taught Physical Education and Health and coached high school football, track and field, and volleyball in Richardson ISD.
I attended Faulkner University on an athletic football scholarship, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. While completing my degree, I also served as an undergraduate assistant football coach for the Faulkner Eagles.
My wife, Christie, and I have been happily married for eleven years, and we are blessed with an amazing daughter, Caselyn.
I am passionate about fitness, sports, and helping students develop lifelong healthy habits. I strive to bring that enthusiasm and positive energy to every PE class, creating an environment where students can build confidence, have fun, and discover the importance of staying active.
I look forward to another fantastic year at Smith Elementary!

Hello! My name is Lanie Schmidt, and I am so excited to be back for my second year as the P.E. AIDE! I have the wonderful opportunity to work with students across every grade level in both Health and P.E. One of my favorite parts of my job is watching students grow throughout the year as they build confidence, stay active, develop healthy habits, and learn the value of teamwork. I am proud to be a Smith graduate and honored to be back at the school that helped shape me. From elementary school through high school, I played volleyball. Outside of school, I am currently working toward my teaching degree. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring antique shops, and trying new baking recipes. I am grateful to be part of such an amazing school and team, and I look forward to another fantastic year!

Hello! My name is D’Andre Condol, and I am passionate about helping students grow both academically and personally. As a Health and Physical Education paraprofessional, I strive to create a positive, supportive environment where every student feels encouraged to succeed and reach their full potential.
I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and have been happily married to my wonderful wife for five years. Together, we have three beautiful children, and two of them attend Smith Elementary. Family is at the center of everything I do, and I enjoy spending quality time with my wife and kids.
Outside the classroom, I have more than 10 years of experience coaching youth football. Coaching has given me the opportunity to teach young athletes the importance of discipline, teamwork, integrity, and character—values I also bring into the classroom each day. I’m also a huge sports fan and proudly cheer on the LSU Tigers and the Philadelphia Eagles. Geaux Tigers and Go Birds!
