GT Teacher

Whitney Baker- I serve the gifted students for both Smith and Rogers Elementary. I have been a teacher in Frisco ISD the past eleven years. I am originally from San Antonio, TX. I am a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Teaching gifted students is my passion, and I love that I will get to have these wonderful students year after year!

I look forward to the amazing academic journey that lies ahead this year. Through meaningful and challenging learning experiences, I hope to provide my students with an environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, problem solving skills, collaboration, and a place for them to feel safe taking risks. Working together, I know we can help each child succeed in becoming a life-long learner and achieving his/her dreams!
