We are excited to kick off our 2024-25 course registration process! Students will begin getting their course verification cards on the dates below
Current 11th- forms sent home 1/11 and 1/12- due back to Social studies teacher 1/16 and 1/17
Current 10th- forms go home 1/18 and 1/19- due back to Social Studies teachers 1/22 or 1/23
Current 9th- forms go home 1/25 and 1/26- due back to Social Studies teachers 1/29 or 1/30
Students will take their form home to review with parents/guardians and check for accuracy. Students updated their 4-year plans in November and December, and this reflects those updates. You are still able to make changes. Please make changes directly on the form and return to your Reedy Social Studies teacher on the dates listed above.
Counselors will review the verification forms, review changes requested by the student/parent/guardians and will update the requests in HAC. All changes will be visible in HAC once we make them. Counselors will take care in reviewing the student’s graduation requirements to ensure they are track for graduation. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions about courses, their plan, and anything related to course registration during this 1 on 1 meeting. These meetings begin 1/16 and will run until 2/2/2024.
Counselors will send an update of all changes made via email on February 5th. Between February 5th and February 19th, we will open a window to make any final changes. This will be the last time students can make changes to their schedule for the 2024-25 school year. The district policy for changes after February 19th, 2024, is stated below.
Students pre-enroll in the spring semester for the upcoming school year, and the master schedule will be based on that information. Students will be able to see and change their course requests, pending availability through February 19, 2024 by contacting their counselor (at Reedy this will be via a google form sent between February 5th and 19th). After this date, no course changes (including all CTE classes, core classes, and level changes) are allowed. Exceptions that will be allowed are athletics, band, choir, orchestra, color guard, drill team, debate, and Academic Decathlon. These must be requested by the 7th school day of the year.
Advanced, AP®, and International Baccalaureate (IB) classes may only be dropped at the 6 week mark of a course or at the end of the semester, and course availability may impact options. The decision to make a schedule change will need to be made between the teacher and parents in the best interest of the student. Students are required to follow campus procedures regarding schedule changes. Campus administration has final approval and discretion on all schedule changes.
Please let us know if you have any questions along the way. I am also including additional resources below to aid in your course review.

The UNT North Texas Now! program involves students taking a half-day of dual credit classes at the UNT campus in Frisco and then spending the remainder of the day at the home campus. The program is a collaborative, 2-year, interdisciplinary, project-based learning experience designed to allow students to see the relevance of course content as they apply it to solve real-world problems. Students can only begin the program in at the start at their Junior year.
