Do you have a weighted GPA of 4.5 or higher? If so, you may be eligible for an Academic Letter Patch. Students must fill out this google form by March 1st at 5pm. This is a firm deadline - if the deadline is missed, it cannot be reopened. Students must be logged into their FISD account to submit the form, so parents will be unable to submit the form. Please note that letter patches are approx. $18+ tax and after approved the fee will be added to your student myschoolfees account once approved.
You must meet the criteria below in order to obtain the Academic Letter Patch:
• A current student must earn a cumulative 4.5 GPA or higher for a minimum of five semesters of high school coursework, with at least one being in Frisco ISD
• All classes that count for class rank will be calculated in a student’s GPA.
• Students who have less than a 4.5 GPA after five semesters, but whose cumulative GPA improves to 4.5 or higher at the end of any subsequent semester may apply for the award after GPAs are updated by the campus registrar and posted in Home Access Center.
• Students may receive only one academic letter patch during their high school career. If you are a senior and already have a patch, please do not fill out the form again.
• Students who believe they are eligible after the first semester of their junior year must complete an application linked above by the deadline. No exceptions.
Students purchase their own letter jacket and the patch. If a student is approved, they will receive an email with instructions on how to pay for the Academic Patch after the application window closes. We will order Patches after the payment window closes for all qualifying students that have paid the fee. Students will then be called down to the Counseling Office to pick them up once we receive them.
If you submit an application and do not qualify, you will be notified via your FISD email.
