I was born and raised in Sherman, Texas. My family is originally from San Luis Potosí, Mexico. I when I get to go visit my family members who are still there. 

This is my 20th year in education and my 4th year as a school counselor. Before transitioning into counseling, I worked in McKinney as a bilingual teacher in grades K-2. The majority of my time was spent in Kindergarten. I LOVED being a teacher, but eventually felt called to take on a new role. 

That let me to school counseling and I truly love it! It's been and incredible experiend working with such amazing students, and I'm excited for another great school year ahead!
