Meet Jeneen - Lower School Science Specialist

Hello!  2022-2023 will be my 14th year here at Friends Seminary and my 29th year working in schools and in education.

I joined the Friends community in 2009 working alongside Bo as his assistant.  I have been teaching Lower School Science since 2016.  Prior to joining Friends, I served as a Lead Teacher in Grades K-1-2-3-4-5 working in New York, New Jersey and Florida.  I have also served in several administrative roles over the span of my career.

I hold my Masters Degree from Fordham University in School Administration and Supervision. My undergraduate degree is in Psychology and Elementary Education.  I am certified as a teacher in New York, New Jersey and Florida for the following:  Birth-Grade 6 in Classroom Teaching ; Grades K-12 - Educational Leadership; Grades K-12 - ESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages) and Grades K-12 - ESE (Exceptional Student Education/Special Education).

I love to garden and watch things grow, love to travel and discover new places and enjoy being outside hiking and exploring.  I can often be found reading and learning about the breathtaking beauty of nature.  I look forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge with your children this year.
