The follow steps will guide you how to create virtual tour using ThingLink.
Sign in with Google account
Link to ThingLink: https://www.thinglink.com/en-us/
using the account xxxx@friends.eduhk.hk or xxxx@s.eduhk.hk account to sign in
Step 1: Select "Education / School"
Step 2: Select "Teacher" role
"Sharing" function is only available for "Teacher" role in Free version
Step 3: Select "Teaching in the classroom"
Step 4: Fill in the information
Upload and create
Click "Create"
Select the type of content to create
Upload the files
Basic function of the photo
Edit - you can cerate tags in the images/ video
Privacy setting - change the visibility of the photo
**Remember to select "Unlisted" of each photo if you want to share your tour**
Rename - this will be useful when the tour has many check points
Replace background - tags will remain when changing the background image
Share - get sharable link or embed link
Editing
Add text and media
Edit title
Add description
Add URL
Add audio, image(s) or video
There is an immersive reader for description.
Add text label
Add text/ short description for specific items/ places
Add content from website
Embed code or URL (Support YouTube, Google Maps, Google Slides, etc)
Create tour
transfer to other scenes
If you want to create a virtual tour at ThingLink, you need to prepare severals images for "select scenes"
Reminders:
There are limitations on free version, e.g. there is limitation on total views used (1000 views per account, you can check it in "Account Settings") and download offline function is not available, etc.
