Many of our teachers teach multiple courses, and they created a custom video for each course.

Through its wide array of courses, the Social Studies Department at Freehold Township High School aims to provide students with opportunities to develop critical thinking, analytical, and interpretive skills. Students will engage in disciplinary practices that require them to read and interpret sources and data, make comparisons and applications, and develop evidence-based arguments. In our history courses, students will explore a variety of interpretations and perspectives as they assess the significance of historical events in World and American history. Students will also gain a fundamental knowledge of the foundation of the United States’ government, the evolution of its social and political identity, and the significance of American citizenship in a global society. We strive for our students to emerge as confident and informed citizens who are able to meet the demands and challenges of 21st-century life with the knowledge and skills required to be active and meaningful participants in a democratic American society within a larger global community.
