Programs to Help You Plan for College

Aside from the support you will receive at RHS, there are several Federally Funded Programs in Fremont County that are here to help qualified students prepare for college - and often come with scholarship opportunities!

Educational Opportunity Centers - RHS encourages students and parents to utilize the free services of the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) TRIO Program. EOC is here to help seniors with college degree exploration, filing the FAFSA, applying to college, & can assist with ACT & other testing fees. Please feel free to call, text, or e-mail EOC Coordinator Hattie Penny at 307-856-1398 (office), 307-349-0948 (cell), or hatt@uwyo.edu, or ask an RHS guidance counselor to have her meet you at the the school.

GEAR UP - Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a federally funded grant that helps support students in grades 7th-12th as they prepare for college. The services are free to income eligible families, and staff can help with career and college preparation, act prep, application assistance, FAFSA completion, and so much more! Upward Bound - Upward Bound is another federally funded program that works to support students through high school as they progress towards college. To learn more about their free services and to to contact them, please visit: http://www.cwc.edu/prep/upwardbound/

Talent Search - Federally funded, Talent Search helps identify students from disadvantaged backgrounds with potential to succeed in higher education and helps students from middle school through high school.
