The Franklin County FFA Chapter can award the Greenhand and Chapter Degrees. The State Degree is awarded by the Kentucky FFA Association. The American Degree is the highest degree an FFA member can earn and that is bestowed by the National FFA Association.

Learn: Creed, Motto, Mission, Salute
Know the parts of the emblem
Knowledge of FFA history
Must have received the Greenhand degree
180 hours of ag class (1 year)
Participated in at least 3 chapter activities
Earned $150 for SAE or worked 45 hours
Lead group discussion
5 parliamentary abilities
Must have received the Chapter Degree
Earn $1500 or work 300 hours through SAE
Perform 10 parliamentary abilities
Give a 6 minute speech on FFA or agriculture
Serve as an officer or committee member
Do 25 hours of community service
Maintain good grades
Participate in 3 regional and 2 state/ national activities
Must have received the State FFA Degree
Have graduated from high school for at least 1 year
SAE: Earn at least $10,000 and productively invested $7,500 or Earned and productively invested $2,000 and worked 2,250 hours
Have a record of outstanding leadership abilities and community involvement and have achieved a high school scholastic record of “C” or better
Have participated in at least 50 hours of community service within at least three different community service activities.
