Chapter Banquet
Our FFA chapter has a year end banquet that thanks all our supporters, honors the accomplishments that our members have throughout the year, and sends our seniors off to pursue their passions. Food, friends, and festivities are always present.
State Convention
Franklin County is in the Capitol City Region for FFA events. Students who win or get 2nd or teams that win at regional contests are invited to compete for a state title at the State FFA Convention in June at Rupp Arena in Lexington. Students who have earned their State FFA Degree or have placed top in the state for their proficiencies also qualify to attend state convention. Students who are majoring in Agriculture Education also having a signing event. Pictured to the right are Alex Wheatley and Chelsea Smither who are currently attending the University of Kentucky.
National Convention
Students have the opportunity to travel to Indianapolis, Indiana in October to attend the National FFA Convention. While in Indy students explore career opportunities, take industry tours, scope out potential places for secondary education, and are able to mingle with FFA members from across the 50 States, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
