Term 3 begins- welcome 2022!
Welcome back everyone! Christmas already seems a long time gone and we are back in the swing of things at school. Unfortunately, we are experiencing quite a few covid cases in school, both from pupils and staff which continues to be challenging for us as it is in many schools around the country. We very much hope that this current wave of cases marks the end of the covid crisis and that learning can continue without disruptions- we know how much children have suffered over the last 2 years and our aim is to ensure children can be at school, be appropriately challenged and be learning every day despite the "obstacles" that we face. However, we do know that our children are making good progress and we are making very good strides in "catching children up" from any gaps in learning due to covid. We also know from research that children are much better off in school for both learning and their mental health than having to resort back to online learning- which we do hope to avoid unless absolutely necessary. Let's hope as we move from winter to spring, things improve and are far more settled for us all! Once again, thank you to all the support we have had from parents on our approach with this.
Please do take time to read our newsletter which shows the wonderful learning is happening in our classes right now and celebrates all the brilliant achievements of our pupils!
