Happy Easter FPJS!
After what feels like a whirlwind of a term, we have finally made it to the Easter Break! We are immensely proud of how well our children have coped this term with the disruptions due to covid. Despite the difficulties, there have still been some brilliant wider learning opportunities that have taken place: Our Y5 team were simply fantastic at producing a reduced version of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" as were the the children, who performed a challenging play in shakespearean language with so much confidence; Our Y3 children enhanced their learning of their history topic with their Roman Day and our Y6 visited our local church, St Peter's to extend their knowledge of the Easter story. I would also like to thank all the staff at FPJS for being simply brilliant this term at coping with lots of unplanned changes, pulling together and always with a smile on their faces- it really is a team effort here! We currently have a vacancy for a lunch controller- see advert below if you want to join us!
Thank you so much parents for completing our survey. The results, displayed below, are overwhelmingly positive in all areas. Where some parents have ranked some aspects lower, we have taken on board any feedback given and will look at opportunities for development. Mr Wallace will be writing separately with more infomation on this in due course.
We return on Monday 25th April at the usual time. Please can we remind parents that parking continues to be problematic along Oaken Grove, and where possible, please do not park or turn along Oaken Grove during congested times. We have recently had a number of complaints from residents about parents who are blocking drives or parking illegally. We have alerted RBWM to ongoing issues and parents could face fines if rules are not adhered to. Try and walk or cycle to school with your child if you possibly can and do not drive up the school drive during drop off and pick up times (including school club times).
Hopefully, the sun will make an appearance for the Easter break and our FPJS families can enjoy lots of fresh air and family time together!
Enjoy the break!
Anna Clark, Head of School
