February 4th Update

As we move into the second month of the year, we are encouraged by the lighter evenings and some more sunshine appearing (despite the rain today!). Moving towards spring does give us a sense of better days to come, and we are encouraged that our covid cases do appear to be falling for pupils. However, as a school we are still under pressure with our staffing levels due to covid and have seen a recent spike in cases. We are still able to cover absences effectively but are by no means out of the water with the effect the pandemic is having on our day to day running. Our staff are working incredibly hard to continue to provide exciting and stimulating lessons whilst supporting colleagues who are self-isolating, and we thank parents for all your support for our wonderful teachers and support staff.

As you will see from our newsletter, there are still plenty of exciting things happening at FPJS, including a Y6 school trip, the Online safety day and the author zoom alongside the creative and inspiring lessons our teams plan! Please do read and enjoy!
