Each year the students at Outwood Academy Foxhills play their part in the democratic act of voting for our Student Prime Minister.
Students in every year group have the opportunity to canvas to become our elected Prime Minister. You can also be part of Student Voice supporting the development of the academy.
Student Parliament
We have a team of 20 students as part of our Student Parliament - 1 per PD group, known as Ambassadors. These students are voted in by their fellow PD group members.
We also hold a whole school election to appoint a Prime Minister and a Deputy Prime Minister. This year, they are Y9 students Ali (Prime Minister) and Cruize (Deputy Prime Minister).
We meet fortnightly on Tuesdays during PD. We have agenda items to discuss based on what form groups have asked for and sometimes we have special sessions e.g. for Outwood Out There, Fundraising February, a Sports Themed one and a Catering one.
Achievements to date include Ping Pong and Fussball Tables as well as securing funding for a multi-faith prayer room and a brand new podcast! We also raised over £1000 for Fundraising February!
Student Voice Ambassadors might take on a particular role such as Careers Lead, Eco Ambassador, Sports or Creative Arts Leads too.
