Dear future Foxhills Student,
I know that it must feel daunting knowing you will be going up to a new school soon but hopefully my experience at Foxhills will reassure you that you have nothing to worry about .
I know that Foxhills looks like a big school compared to what you're used to but it’s actually not that bad . After a week, you will know the school like the back of your hand . It’s absolutely fine if you get lost. It happens to everyone when they move to a new school . Don’t worry if you’re late to class on your first day, you won’t be punished as you won’t know your way around .
Do you enjoy after school activities ? If you do, great. There are loads of after school activities and they're really fun . Even if you just want to read for some peace and quiet, there’s the perfect club for you - library club. It’s run by a really nice teacher so don’t worry it’s not like the librarian from Monsters Inc . I promise.
If you do well in class, you can get a classroom champion which means you’ve stood out compared to everyone else . You will also get a sticker that goes on your classroom champion card . When you fill in your classroom champion card, you get a chocolate and a pen of your choice . You can also take part in the Chilli challenge to get prizes . Don’t worry, you don’t actually have to eat chilli, you just have to complete a series of fun educational challenges .
Everyone at Foxhills is friendly so you won’t have any trouble making friends.

Dear future Foxhills student,
My name is Adrijus and I am currently in Year 8 at Foxhills. I am writing this letter to you today to tell you what it is really like at my school.
Foxhills offers a range of subjects, including languages, like Spanish and French. It's a fun experience knowing how to communicate with people from different countries. You will have a greater knowledge of other cultures and could have a better chance of getting a job in the future.
The year sevens have a 'split lunch', allowing them to go to lunch at 12:30. This means that you will have thirty minutes of your P4 lesson and, after lunch is over, you will go back to your classroom for the remaining thirty minutes of the lesson. If you're a fussy eater, there is a variety of food that you can find to fit your needs. If you are on pack ups, there are some spots that you could find where you and your friends can eat and talk.
The teachers are friendly and can support you with anything you need help with. The teachers include fun activities to make the environment more enjoyable. They work hard to make sure you are doing everything correctly and to make sure the lesson if fun.

Dear future Foxhills student,
My name is Daisie S and I am currently a year 9 student at Foxhills. I remember that on my first day, I got lost but everyone does, so you don't need to worry. The teachers and students will help you find your way around the school. You won't get lost on the way to dinner though- that's my favourite part of the day! For lunch, you have the option to have school meals or bring a packed lunch. At lunch, there is a wide range of food- we serve hot meals, pizza, hot wraps, pasta and sandwiches. Every Friday is 'Fish and Chip Friday'. That's my favourite day.
The lessons are fun but can sometimes be challenging. At the end of year nine, you will pick your options. These are subjects you pick to study at GCSE. I picked history, French and dance- they are really enjoyable.
At Foxhills, we have consequences. In class, if you misbehave, you will get a mark on the consequences board. We do have detentions if you have ignored three warnings, but you only get them if you misbehave or are missing basic equipment regularly. The teachers at Foxhills are nice and caring and rarely give out consequences unless they need to, so you don't need to worry.
