Art History & Criticism

Year three students are introduced to a variety of contemporary and historically important artists. Students begin developing group critique skills with their peers.

Studio Production

Year three students begin working more on developing a concept into a body of work. Unique media such as batik, encaustic and etching is explored.

Artistic Process

Year three students focus on developing their own unique artistic process and documenting it in their Visual Art Journals.

Building on the Foundations

Visual Art 3 is a continuation of Visual Art 2. Students will continue to develop foundational skills as well as experimenting with new media. Students explore figure drawing, advanced painting techniques in watercolor and acrylic, how to develop work based on an inquiry statement and artistic habits.
