Overview
In this unit students will review/learn the basics of drawing. Students will engage in contour drawing, determining values, identifying positive and negatives spaces as well as how to utilize a grid for drawing. Students will experiment with blending and markmaking and be able to use line to create texture, value and movement.

In this task you will complete a series of practice drawings to develop a strong 'hand - eye' coordination.

Task 2: Still Life Drawing
In this task you will learn how to use sighting methods to complete a contour drawing of a still life in class. You will understand how to identify value changes and use contour lines and shapes to express how the light affects the surface area of the objects in your still life.
