A gifted/talented student is a child who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience, or environment and who
exhibits high-performance capability in an intellectual, creative, or artistic area;
possesses an unusual capacity for leadership; or
excels in a specific academic field.
To refer a student for GT testing, please complete the referral form found on the GT website during the referral window. Kindergartners are assessed early spring. All other students are assessed in late spring.
After all data from the GT assessments have been collected, the GT Qualification committee meets (virtually or in-person) to determine placement. A student who has earned qualifying scores on multiple assessments or exceptional scores on individual assessments will be considered.
Qualifying kindergarten students will begin receiving GT services after Spring Break. All other students will begin receiving services the following school year. Service plans are dependent on grade level. For more information on service plans, click here.
