The links below all contain ideas for ELAR extensions. Some are content specific and others are general ELAR enrichment. Please don't be overwhelmed by the choices. Start with one and go from there. PreAP English 1 - Even though we do not use the official PreAP curriculum from College Board, they still have a wealth of resources on their site for free.
PreAP English 2 - Same as above, but for English 2
TPSP Tasks for HS - TPSP = Texas Performance Standards Projects. This link will take you directly to the high school grade band. From there, choose your subject and explore all the projects they have to offer. Keep in mind, these projects are intended to take weeks to months to complete and follow the complete research and presentation cycle.
EDSITEment - Partnership between the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Trust for the Humanities and offers free high-quality humanities education materials in the subject areas of history and social studies, literature and language arts, foreign languages, arts, and culture.
Wonderopolis - MASSIVE collection of seemingly random questions with kid-friendly explanations. Great for research, discussion starters, journal prompts, etc.
