Action Plan

The Action Plan portion of the project involved finding a way to directly combat the issue through advocacy or direct service. It also involved interviewing an expert on this issue. My proposed action plan had three parts:

1. I would interview Xavier Quinn, the Violence Recovery Program Manager at Fenway Health.

2. I would attend a training session to become a member of the PFLAG Speakers Bureau.

3. I would organize an event at Fontbonne Academy to celebrate RAINN Day. RAINN Day focuses on fighting against sexual assault and supporting survivors.

4. I would meet with the guidance counselors at my school and ask them to attend a training session specifically catered to the needs of LGBTQ+ students in order to create a stronger in-school support system for them.

Because of coronavirus, some of my plans got shifted around, but I was still able to enact my action plan with only a few minor alterations.
