Classroom Connectors

WHAT IS A CLASSROOM CONNECTOR?

A Classroom Connector is a primary caregiver who volunteers to be the point person to help with communication in the caregiver community by classroom/clusters. They provide connections between families and play an important role in helping to foster relationships among families, students, and staff—connections that make everyone feel welcome and part of the Fletcher Maynard Academy.   

HOW CAN I CONNECT TO MY CLASSROOM CONNECTOR?

Ask your child's teacher or the FMA Family Liaison- 

They will provide you with the Whatsapp QR code and/or the Classroom Connector's name and information.

I DON'T USE WHATSAPP?  IS THAT THE ONLY WAY TO CONNECT?

A Classroom Connector can use whatever way you like to receive information- but if you are able to use Whatsapp, it will allow you to be part of a larger group of family members.  We would be happy to help you learn how to use Whatsapp if you would like.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO BE A CLASSROOM CONNECTOR?

* You must be comfortable using WhatsApp, texting and email

* Communicate with the teacher and the Family Liaison as needed

* Be willing to send out a weekly message to scholar families/caregivers

* Bonus- if you can communicate more than one language
