Friends of Fletcher-Maynard Academy (FoFMA) is a group of parents, caregivers, friends, staff and community members committed to uplifting FMA students and staff, encouraging positive experiences, and supporting meaningful opportunities that nurture the academic, emotional, and social growth of every child. Through collaboration, care, and shared purpose, we strive to enrich our school environment and strengthen the foundation for lifelong learning and success for all.

What Do We Do

BUILD COMMUNITY

FoFMA collaborates with staff in school events including Welcome to School, Coffee and Kleenex, Dinner of Thanks, and other activities to foster community among our families.

We work with the FMA Family Liaison to run the Classroom Connector groups for each grade and share information out through social media and this website!

SUPPORT EACH OTHER

We help with the Uniform Exchange- where families can donate outgrown uniforms or receive gently worn uniforms for their kids.

FoFMA is here to help orient new families and support all families in connecting with the right person at FMA.

FUNDRAISE

We raise funds for field trips, events and to support school-wide and teacher initiatives. We manage funds for special initiatives, such as the Basketball Program and WomenCare. We write grants for initiatives in the school, large or small.

SCHOOL SWAG

We sell Bee Shirts and other school-based clothing, stickers, etc. All funds of these sales go directly to the school

ANNUAL ELECTIONS

We run the annual elections for Family Representatives and Co-Chair to the School Council and internal elections for FoFMA President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer
