Substance misuse happens every day. When teenagers use nicotine, alcohol, cannabis, or any other drug, they are posing a risk to their physical and mental health. Teenagers who misuse substances are at greater risk of developing illness or experiencing a mental health crisis. Helping to prevent substance use in teens reduces the risk of harm and increases the chance of success in adulthood.
