The purpose of the Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) or "I Get to Pick" is to assist students and their parents in exploring educational and professional possibilities and in making appropriate secondary and postsecondary decisions. During the annual IGP conference with students, parents and counselors, you may select course requests for classes for the upcoming school year.
Naviance is a tool your Guidance Counselor or Career Development Facilitator can help you utilize. It is an amazing resource for college & career planning.
No-Cost College
Tuition and mandatory fees are covered for SC residents enrolling at York Tech in a program that leads to careers in high-demand fields. Since spring 2022, York Tech offers students college at no costs for tuition and fees. Students may choose from over 100 programs, offered in a variety of flexible course schedules that lead to rewarding careers. Check out No-Cost College.
Career Connect
Career Connect is a great place to research your career options. You can use the automated tool to learn more about various careers or make an appointment with York Tech admissions counselor, who can help you narrow down the careers that interest you, determine how long your training will be, estimate the costs and schedule classes.
Apprenticeships
York Tech has excellent opportunities with youth apprenticeships for 16 to 24 year olds. This would be great for seniors this summer as a way to earn and learn in a rewarding career field. See all the youth apprenticeships, including Paralegal/Pre-law, Automotive Mechanical Repair, Automotive Collision & Body, Healthcare/Nursing Assistance, Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics, Machine Tool Technology (CNC Machinist/Tool & Die), Utility Line Worker and Welding Technology.

Career Outlook articles provide data and information on a variety of topics—including occupations and industries, pay and benefits, and more. Click on the logo to learn more. Whatever you do easily is probably a natural talent. It could be the homework you do first or a hobby you love. Be Pro Be Proud is a SC initiative to share information about technical, hands-on careers, such as welding, electrician, diesel technician, and plumber. You can make a good living working with your hands and mind. Click on the logo to learn more.

Golden Door Scholars (founded in 2013) promotes economic mobility for undocumented students by partnering with schools to cover tuition, room, and board for a four-year degree. Our scholars also have access to mentors, internships, and job search support, along with other professional growth opportunities. Click on the logo to learn more.
