Students will have a total of 3 attempts for quizzes. The final score in the Educator gradebook will be the latest attempt.
To open the quiz, click on the assignment title in your Educator gradebook.
Once you complete the quiz, you will see the score for any automatically graded questions.
If there are questions that your teacher needs to grade, you will see the total score once those questions are graded.
Students can edit and resubmit any written assignment up to 3 times. The final score in the Educator gradebook will be the latest attempt.
No hand written work is accepted.
If the assignment is a written assignment, you will complete your work in a teacher provided template. Visit the Help Site Hub to access these templates.
You will upload the file in the Educator gradebook.
Once an assignment is graded, click on the assignment in the gradebook to read the feedback from the instructor.
Students will have only one attempt for exams.
To open the exam, click on the exam title in your gradebook. You will be prompted to put in a password.
Passwords are given to you by your teachers. Ways to obtain a password include during a DBA conversation, in your grading feedback for a previous assignment, in an email from your teacher, or text/call your teacher.
In order to fully prepare for exams, be sure to complete all previous assignments and have your study guides / notes available, as you may use your notes during quizzes and exams.
Students will complete 7 total DBAs each semester
1 DBA for ELA, Science, Social Studies, and Elective courses
2 DBAs for the Math course
Go to your teacher's announcement page in Educator and click on the "DBA scheduler" button.
Schedule your DBA time and date by following the directions from the teacher.
Your teacher will provide details with where to go for your DBA.
Visit the Help Site Hub to access Guided Notes and DBA Review guides. These can be used during your DBA.
After you successfully complete the DBA, your teacher will tell you what to submit in your Educator gradebook for grading.
Students will have only one attempt for Semester exams.
This is the last assignment to be completed in a semester.
Students may not submit or resubmit any assignments after taking the final exam.
Click on the Grade Report tab at the top of the course
Scroll to the assignment and click on the assignment title
Scroll down to the blue bar and click on the "Choose File" button
Select where you save your school course folders and files
Click on the file you would like to upload for grading
Click on the "Open" button
You will see the file uploaded in the white box
NOTE: Repeat steps 3 -7 above to add additional files or photos before submitting
Check the "Submit for Grading" checkbox
Press the blue "Submit for Grading" button
Your gradebook will show as highlighted blue with an exclamation sign to show the teacher has received the file(s)
Teachers provide detailed feedback for all written assignments, projects, and short response questions in quizzes.
To view the feedback -
Go to your gradebook and click on the assignment title
Scroll down to the "Instructor comments" section
If you would like to earn a higher grade, follow the instructor comments and suggestions to help improve your work.
Reset and/or resubmit the file once improvements have been made.
Example of feedback from an ELA course
Gray - The assignment is exempted. You do NOT need to do it.
Green - Your assignment earned a passing grade of 60% or higher.
Red - Your assignment earned a failing grade of 59% or lower. Consider resubmitting after reading teacher feedback.
Blue - You submitted an assignment and are waiting for grading.
Orange - This assignment is past due and has a temporary zero. Complete it as soon as possible to earn credit for the assignment.
QWERTY QUICK TIPS:
Complete quizzes and exams in one sitting. If you walk away and your computer goes to sleep, you may lose access to the quiz or exam. Contact your teacher if you get locked out of your quiz or exam.
